Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible covering everything from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the growth and advent in space travel. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the space industry and spent the last five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Over the course of this time, she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' efforts. Additionally, she traveled with President Trump and the Vice President extensively. This included a secret trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin was a television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to joining CBS in 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
